We have been accepted to perform in Expression 2008: A Gathering of the Arts. You can see more about this event at http://www.expressionflorida.com/ . The only class participating in this event is the 9 and older class.
Performance times are Friday, October 31 at 4:40 and Saturday, November 1 at 3:15.
Dancers must arrive ONE HOUR prior to scheduled performance time. Stage participants (that's us) are required to park behind the Christian Heritage Church facilities and enter through the back doors by the loading dock. I will be waiting for you inside those back doors. We will then proceed to check in by the inside stage where we will also receive parking passes.
Each time we will be dancing "He Reigns" by the Newsboys.
Costume for dancers: Long-sleeved black leotard; black gaucho pants; nude footless tights. I will provide the head-wrap. No jewelry at all, including watches. Have your child wear make-up as they would for recital. Mainly, eyeliner, blush, and lipstick. I will have more info on this in class. Hair is to be worn in a bun just above the nape of the neck.
There will be an extra rehearsal for this special performance on Wednesday, October 29 at 4pm at Restoration Life Church. Please do whatever you can to assure your child is at this rehearsal.
If you have an extra pair of black gaucho pants, please let me know ASAP. We have a few new girls in this class who are in need of the pants.
This is an awesome opportunity for Miriam's Dance Ministry to minister to the community. I'm really excited about what the Lord will do through this event.
